Biography

Xing Xin, MD, Principal Investigator of a sub-project of the National “211 Project”. He has been engaged in clinical, teaching, and research work in plastic surgery for more than 30 years. He has served as chief editor or chief translator of 6 monographs, associate editor of 6 monographs, and contributing editor of more than 10 monographs. He has published more than 200 academic papers domestically and internationally. He has recruited and trained more than 40 postdoctoral fellows, doctoral students, and master’s students, and has additionally taught 6 international military students. He enjoys a high reputation and recognition in military and national academic circles.

Chief editor of 3 published monographs; served as an editor of 4 monographs, namely Modern Plastic Surgery, Plastic and Burn Surgery, Common Aesthetic Surgery and Complication Repair, and Modern Aesthetic Surgery; and served as associate editor or contributing editor of more than 10 monographs and translations.

Received one Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award; one Major Achievement Award in Military Medical Science and Technology during the “11th Five-Year Plan”; one First Prize and one Second Prize of the Military Medical Achievement Award; one Second Prize and three Third Prizes of the Military Science and Technology Progress Award; one Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award from the Ministry of Education; one Third Prize of the Shanghai Medical Achievement Award; one Second Prize of the Medical Achievement Award of the Second Military Medical University; and more than 10 research grants from national, military, and Shanghai funding agencies.
